WHAT IS KOMBUCHA?

Kombucha is a fermented beverage, made out of a blend of green and black tea with sugar. The symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, mostly known as SCOBY, consumes most of the sugar and theine, transforming the sweet tea into a slightly carbonated elixir, full of organic acids and enzymes beneficial to the gut flora.

The first kombucha taproom in the country is the physical space that brings together the universe of Aquela Kombucha. It is the epicenter of conversations, sharing, and clarifications about fermentation and its inherent adventures.

In the Taproom you can taste an extensive variety of flavors: the classics, always available in bottles, and other more exotic and experimental options by pressure.
The bulk option allows for the filling of canisters, thus promoting the reuse of packaging and avoiding waste.

That Kombucharia allows you to taste an extensive variety of flavours: the classics, always available in bottles, and other more exotic and experimental options under pressure. The bulk option allows you to fill containers, thus promoting the reuse of packaging and avoiding waste.

With a bittersweet touch, floral notes and slightly carbonated, it has no comparison but also tastes familiar. In Portugal, there is a popular expression that describes it well: “at first you find it strange, but then you get into it”
